Whats the Difference Between Olive Oils?
There are many different types of olive oils, some are used for cooking some are best used for merely dressing. I’ll try to explain below some tips and what I’ve found from using olive oils in my kitchens for over 30 years!
Firstly Olive oil should always be stored in a cool place, and I’ve found is better bought in cans or dark bottles.
Extra virgin olive oil, is first cold pressed, the finest grade, and is used for dressing salads, grilled vegetables, scollopes and bread dipping.
Virgin the next best grade I mostly use for cooking and not in dressings.
Olive oil can also be used for baking. I use it when making fresh bread just like Mama showed me!
