Dolcelatte sauce for Gnocchi

    Here is a fantastic Italian recipe for a Dolcelatte sauce which goes perfectly with the fresh gnocchi that I showed last week.

    And I have also made a video so you can watch how I make this sauce.

    In a frying pan bring the cream to the boil over low heat

    Add the Dolcelatte cheese

    Mix well as the cheese melts into the cream

    Add the basil

    Season with salt and pepper

    Add the cooked gnocchi stirring constantly

    Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese and mix well

    Tip the gnocchi onto individual warm dishes

    Sprinkle more grated Parmesan cheese as per your taste

    Garnish with basil and serve
